Privacy Policy
October 18, 2026
Wombie (“we”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect when you use the Wombie app and services, and your rights regarding personal data, including practices aligned with applicable data protection laws.
1. Data we collect
Account information (e.g. name, email, profile photo from Google Sign-In), pregnancy details (due date, gestational week), content you upload (ultrasound photos, health notes, food check history), and usage data to improve the service.
- Location (if you allow) for nearby hospital features
- Session and security tokens for authentication
- AI assistant interactions (questions and responses)
2. Why we process data
We process data to provide app features, personalize pregnancy content, food checks, ultrasound archive, partner mode, and customer support. Sensitive health-related features (ultrasound, health logs, food checks) require explicit consent at registration.
3. Storage and security
Data is stored in cloud infrastructure with restricted access. Production traffic uses TLS encryption. Certain sensitive notes may be encrypted at the application layer. Uploads (e.g. ultrasound images) are private; access uses short-lived signed URLs.
4. Third parties
We may use trusted service providers, including:
- Google — sign-in authentication
- AI providers — assistant responses (we do not sell your data)
- Cloud storage — hosting uploads
5. Your rights
You may request a copy of your data (export), update your profile, withdraw consent where permitted by law, and delete your account in the app or by contacting us. Account deletion removes or anonymizes personal data according to our retention policy.
6. Retention
We keep data while your account is active and as needed for legal obligations, dispute resolution, or enforcement. After deletion, data is removed or anonymized within a reasonable period unless law requires otherwise.
7. Medical disclaimer
Wombie is for adult users (expecting parents). It is not a medical device and does not replace advice from doctors or midwives. Health decisions should be made with qualified professionals.
8. Policy changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated via the app or website. The last updated date appears at the top of this page.
9. Contact
Privacy questions: [email protected]. We respond to personal data requests within a reasonable timeframe.
